My favorite artist is Juz Kitson
“One of my favorite artists is Juz Kitson. Their work, brimming with allure and innovation, has always been a significant source of inspiration for me. As a contemporary Australian artist, Kitson’s art delves into concepts such as femininity, decay, destruction, and transformation with a unique perspective.
I had the privilege of participating in a two-day workshop where I presented my own work and received an overwhelmingly positive response from Kitson. They placed their art alongside mine and with a meaningful smile, remarked that it felt as if we were on the same intellectual path.
The use of porcelain as the primary medium and the repetition of small forms are hallmark characteristics of Kitson’s artistic style. These repetitions invite the viewer into a new world and a different space. Moreover, the incorporation of materials like glass and animal hair, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, adds depth and complexity to their works.
Every time I encounter Kitson’s art, I find myself immersed for hours in their boundless imagination. Studying the work of this esteemed artist is akin to attending a comprehensive workshop.”
